Ihor Terekhov, the Mayor of Kharkiv, said at least three people were killed and 17 others, including two children, were wounded as Russia launched its most powerful attack on the northeastern city, since the Russia-Ukraine war erupted in early 2022.

Sharing further details of the large-scale assault, Ukrainian officials said that cruise missiles and hundreds of drones were launched targeting Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lutsk and Ternopil.
