Director Ben Stiller has teased the future of his critically-acclaimed series Severance.

Most recently, Stiller has spent the last five years directing the workplace sci-fi drama Severance. Created by first-time writer Dan Erickson, the Apple TV+ series follows employees at the secretive Lumon Industries, who have voluntarily undergone a surgical procedure to bifurcate (or “sever”) their work and home lives.

Ben Stiller isn't just a director and executive producer of Severance — he also had an uncredited voiceover cameo back in Season 1. In a 2022 interview with ET Online, Severance stars Britt Lower and Dichen Lachman confirmed that Stiller voiced the animated version of Lumon founder Kier Eagan that congratulates Helly (Lower) for reaching quota in Season 1,

Severance is back and hitting the ground running in its Season 2 premiere, “Hello, Ms. Cobel,” which picks up in Lumon’s offices, moments after Mark’s ( Adam Scott) innie is reactivated following Season 1’s fateful revelation.

That show, which premiered in 2018 on Showtime, is streaming now for the first time on Netflix. Not only is it the perfect thing to watch if you’ve already completed your Severance season 1 rewatch, but it may also offer a hint at how Stiller and his cohorts plan to unfurl some of Severance ’s many mysteries as we head into season 2.
