The Canucks managed to re-sign Brock Boeser to a seven-year contract despite all signs pointing toward him departing in free agency.

Boeser signed a seven-year, $50.75 million contract ($7.25 million average annual value) shortly after the free agent market opened at noon ET, allowing the 28-year-old forward to continue as the longest-serving Canucks player and stay in a city he said throughout this process he never wanted to leave.
