Ukraine's largest private energy company DTEK said on Wednesday it plans to invest 450 million Euros ($468.59 million) to expand a wind farm near the Black Sea coast, boosting its capacity.

"The commitment is the largest private sector investment in Ukraine since russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022 and the biggest ever private investment in Ukraine’s energy sector," DTEK said in a press release.

DTEK announces a €450 million expansion of its Tyligulska Wind Power Plant, boosting capacity to 500 MW and powering 900,000 households in Ukraine.

For this order, Vestas will supply 64 wind turbines and is responsible for the supply, delivery and commissioning of the turbines. Together, the first and second phases of Tyligulska will have a capacity of 498 MW, with a total of 83 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines in 6.0 MW operating mode, making it the largest wind energy project in the country.
