CenterPoint and Entergy are preparing to manage power outages in the Greater Houston area due to a winter storm.

With the winter storm affecting the Houston area, power is a concern that many residents have after the winter storm that affected the area in 2021.

A vehicle struck a pole in New Orleans' Bywater neighborhood, causing an outage that left more than 3,700 households without power.

Lafayette Utilities System reported just before 8 a.m. that 1,186 customers were without electricity in and around the Broadmoor neighborhood near Johnston Street and Camellia Boulevard. Power was restored within about 30 minutes.
