With rain coming down and the dark clouds hovering over Nationals Park on Monday night, the series opener between the Guardians and the Nats was postponed after being in a pregame rain delay for over an hour.

Carlos Santana belted a three-run homer in the sixth inning, helping the visiting Cleveland Guardians salvage a split of a doubleheader with a 9-1 victory over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.

Ben Lively pitched into the sixth inning as the Guardians earned a split of their doubleheader against Washington.
