After the deadly attack in New Orleans early Wednesday morning, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and the New York City Police Department say there are no credible threats to the state or the city, but local police are on high alert.

The NYPD has not identified any credible threats to New York City in the wake of an attack in New Orleans that left 10 people dead and dozens injured during the first few hours of the new year, according to officials.

It’s not just New Years celebrations, but all year that long, large crowds of people come together for a variety of events being held across the state.
