Two separate shootings overnight in Phenix City led to the death of two people and another who was critically injured. The first shooting occurred at 8:50 p.m. Friday night at the Dollar General located at 109 Seal Road. Matthew Brooks III, 28 years old, was found dead at the scene.

One man is dead and a woman is in critical condition following a Saturday morning shooting in the 1000 block of North Railroad Street in Phenix City. Police say the shooting happened around 4 a.m. and is still under investigation.

The first incident happened Friday, when police were called at about 8:50 p.m. in reference to a shooting in the 100 block of Seale Road. Police said officers who responded found 28-year-old Matthew Brooks III, a Phenix City resident, dead at the scene.

Two people have died following an overnight shooting on North Railroad St in Phenix City. According to the Phenix City Police Department, around 3:14 a.m. they responded to the 1000 block of North Railroad St in reference to a shooting.
