PLEASANT HILL — A person died Tuesday morning when a vehicle overturned during a freeway crash, the California Highway Patrol said. The wreck happened about 8:15 a.m. on northbound Interstate 680 at the Monument Boulevard off-ramp.

A fatal crash was reported on northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasant Hill on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that was hanging from the second story of the garage and had come to a rest vertically on its grille, police said.
