Nvidia has announced a major update to its RTX 40-series graphics cards and the Nvidia App ahead of Gamescom 2025, introducing Smooth Motion, global DLSS overrides, and a host of quality-of-life upgrades for gamers. Smooth Motion is now available for RTX 40-series GPUs, enabling driver-level AI frame generation in unsupported games.

NVIDIA's GeForce NOW game streaming service is leveling-up in September with the addition of RTX 5080 GPUs, which will allow for 5K streaming at up to 120fps (or 1080p/320fps for the truly frame-hungry).

Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5050 is its most affordable RTX 50-series graphics card, but it lagged behind several competing budget cards in our frame-rate shootouts. For another $50, the RTX 5060 is a much better option.
