SAN JOSE -- Kirill Kaprizov had three assists to help the Minnesota Wild defeat the San Jose Sharks 5-2 at SAP Center on Thursday. Kaprizov moved into second in the NHL with 24 points, behind Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon (25 points).

Matt Boldy had two goals, Kirill Kaprizov recorded three assists and the Wild beat the Sharks 5-2. Mats Zuccarello’s goal put the Wild ahead 2-1 in the second period, set up by a no-look pass through multiple defenders by Kaprizov.

Macklin Celebrini, the first overall pick in June’s entry draft, scored twice for the Sharks and has three goals and four points in three NHL games. His second goal pulled the Sharks within 4-2 with 3:52 left in the game, and San Jose quickly pulled goaltender Vitek Vanecek for an extra attacker.
