The rising water levels have prompted rescues and road closures. The storm, which has already wreaked havoc across the South and the Midwest, doesn’t show signs of letting up.

Parts of the Midwest and South faced the possibility of torrential rains and life-threatening flash floods Friday, while many communities were still reeling from tornadoes that destroyed whole neighborhoods and killed at least seven people.

Waters continued to rise in communities from Arkansas to Michigan as the storm, which has killed at least eight, drenched the region. More tornadoes were also possible.

It will be a wet start to the morning on Saturday as storms move in overnight and will stick around. The storms are expected to bring a hail threat to parts of our area along with flooding chances to the east and northeast.

A Flood Advisory is in effect for Butler, Greene, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren counties until 3:15 a.m. A Flood Advisory has been issued for Warren and Clinton counties until 8 a.m. The Storm Center 7 team of meteorologists continues to monitor the latest timing for rain and thunder.
