Ichiro Suzuki never dreamed he would one day have his jersey retired, saying he was touched and grateful by the love he has received from the Mariners organization and fans.

Ichiro Suzuki paused at times to collect his thoughts and placed his hand on his heart as he spoke thoughtfully about what it meant to have his No. 51 retired by the Seattle Mariners.

After having his name inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame this year, Ichiro Suzuki will receive another honor next year.
