Instead of releasing a successor that feels like a generational leap or a pivot in a new direction, it’s following up the hugely successful original with the Switch 2 — a welcome upgrade that largely sticks to the formula.

At over 3.5 million units sold in just four days, the Nintendo Switch 2 is now the fastest-selling game console of all time, and shows no signs of stopping, with some retailers still having trouble keeping them in stock.
