The Triple Crown features three races for 3-year-old thoroughbred horses, with just weeks separating each event. A horse who emerges victorious in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes is dubbed a Triple Crown winner.

A homebred for the family of the late Harvey Clarke, Gosger returns his family's bloodline to the Triple Crown when he races May 17 in the $2 million Preakness Stakes (G1) at Pimlico Race Course.

The Kentucky Derby kicks off the first leg of the Triple Crown on the first Saturday in May. Of the 20 that will hit the 2025 Run for the Roses, one will become part of the horse racing history while also opening up a possible run to ultimate glory.
