A missing woman who was last seen walking her dog in a nature preserve was found dead in a freezing lake on Christmas, according to officials. Danvers woman Owen Kasozi, 30, was found dead in Beverly’s Wenham Lake on Wednesday, the Essex DA’s office and Beverly Police reported following a search with many agencies.

The body of Owen Kasozi, 30, was found in Wenham Lake at the J.C. Philips Nature Preserve on Christmas Day. She went missing while walking her dog on Tuesday, Dec. 24.
