Mac and MacRumors point out that Apple just launched a new service program targeting a specific issue, and this time, it’s M2 Mac Minis built between June 16th, 2024, and November 23rd, 2024. That would be just before new M4-powered units supplanted the line.

Apple has started a service program to specifically address a problem that owners of the M2 Mac mini may be having. According to Apple, “a very small percentage” of these Mac minis have an issue where they will no longer power on. Eligible devices can have service done to fix the issue by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
