After competing against each other in the NBA Finals four straight years from 2015-18 and playing in countless other classic contests, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James joined forces to lead Team USA to its fifth consecutive gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The Golden State Warriors need some type of miracle to become contenders again. Otherwise, Golden State should consider blowing it up. Entering Monday, the 19-19 Warriors were on the outside of the Play-In race looking in -- a tough pill to swallow for a franchise that's won four titles in the last decade.

On top of that, the Lakers can swap first-round picks in 2026 and 2028 and trade or swap their selection in 2029, 2030, and 2031, which makes taking the bait a bit more palatable for the Warriors, who will inevitably have to rebuild at some point.
