Two brush fires burning along I-15 in northern San Diego County have prompted evacuation orders for some as they burn at high rates of speed due to strong winds in the area.

The fires come as San Diego County mountains and valleys, along with other parts of Southern California, remain under a red flag warning.

The blazes ignited in San Diego County early Tuesday, keeping Southern California on edge as dangerous fire conditions persisted.

All evacuation orders were lifted Tuesday afternoon as crews continued to mop up a blaze that burned 15 to 20 acres across the street from Fashion Valley mall. The blaze burned along the hillsides north of Friars Road west of state Route 163,
