NEW YORK — Giancarlo Stanton is still at least a few more weeks away from returning to the Yankees from the injured list, but on Tuesday, he stepped in against live pitching at Yankee Stadium.

The New York Yankees are among the better teams in MLB right now. Their 20-16 record isn’t overly impressive, but it’s good for fifth-best in the American League. Moreover, their +60 run differential is second only to the Detroit Tigers to this point in the season.
