Joc Pederson and the Texas Rangers have finalized a $37 million, two-year contract. The designated hitter-outfielder successfully completed a physical Monday.

The Texas Rangers have agreed to terms with slugging designated hitter Joc Pederson on a two-year pact worth $37 million, the team announced Monday. The deal contains an opt out after the first season.

"It's time for us to take over the West," New Texas Rangers slugger Joc Pederson said, referring to the Houston Astros eight-year reign atop the AL West.
