The New York Jets selected seven players in the NFL draft last week, with all seven picks coming in the first five rounds. The Jets went with offensive players with their first two picks, and then mainly focused on the defensive side of the ball.

The Jets traded picks No. 145 and No. 207 to move up and get Moore. He’s a little undersized (5-11, 196) and ran a 4.57 40-yard dash at his pro day, but he grades out well against the run, is versatile (he played both nickel and safety in college), and has a lot of special teams experience.

On the heels of a 5-12 season, the Jets have the No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, marking the sixth time in the past nine years that they've had a top-10 selection. Beginning with Thursday's first round, they'll have a chance to rewrite the franchise's fortunes.
