Nissan is recalling more than 480,000 vehicles across the U.S. and Canada because of potential manufacturing defects that could cause engine failure.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced the recall of more than 443,800 Nissan vehicles because of an issue with the engine bearings.

This recall targets 443,899 cars and crossovers, which include 2019 through 2022 Infiniti QX50 models, 2022 Infiniti QX55 models, 2019-2020 Nissan Altima models, and 2021-2024 Nissan Rogue models.

Nissan is recalling nearly 443,900 vehicles across certain models under its namesake and Infiniti brands in the U.S. over a faulty part that could cause their engines to fail.

Nissan is recalling more than 443,000 vehicles because of engine issues, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. For a full list of recalls or to see if your car needs repairs, check the NHTSA website.

Dealers will inspect the engines, and in cases where it's necessary, they will replace the engine for free.

In a recall notice posted with the the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Nissan said it had identified bearing failures in certain vehicles. Nissan is recalling 443,899 vehicles in the U.S., the notice shows. In Canada, 37,837 are affected, a Nissan spokesperson told the Associated Press.
