Earlier this week, we wrote a story about how Shohei Ohtani's recent labrum surgery could delay his return to the mound in 2025. A story in the Los Angeles Times essentially confirms that will be the case.

Shohei Ohtani had surgery Tuesday to repair a labrum tear after partially dislocating his shoulder during the World Series, the Dodgers announced.

Ohtani underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair the issue Tuesday. Dr. Neal ElAttrache performed the procedure. The Dodgers said Ohtani is expected to be ready for the start of spring training.
