NASA astronauts Sunita "Suni" Williams and Barry "Butch" Wilmore have been on the International Space Station since June, even though they initially expected to stay for just eight days. They'll be back on Earth in late March.

NASA astronaut Sunita Williams has broken the record for the longest time spent in space by a woman. The record was achieved during Thursday's extravehicular activity (EVA) or spacewalk, which lasted for 5 hours 26 minutes.

The event was livestreamed by NASA on YouTube and their website, marking Williams' ninth spacewalk and the 92nd spacewalk by a US astronaut.
