Severe thunderstorms will once again roar across parts of the South this weekend just a week after nearly 90 tornadoes touched down from Texas to the Carolinas. While we are not expecting another tornado outbreak this weekend, some strong to severe thunderstorms are possible from Southeast Texas to western Mississippi Sunday afternoon and evening.

A little more than a week after a tornado outbreak ripped through parts of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, those same areas find themselves under the threat for severe storms once again this weekend.
