Jurickson Profar agreed to a $42 million, three-year contract with the Atlanta Braves, less than a year after the outfielder got a $1 million deal from the San Diego Padres with spring training already underway.
Profar finalized a $1 million deal with the Padres last Feb. 24, then hit .280 with 24 home runs in a long-awaited breakout at 31.
The Braves made their first splash of the 2025 offseason, coming to an agreement on a free-agent contract with 2024 breakout Jurickson Profar, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. The club has not confirmed the move.
Profar, a switch-hitting outfielder, will help the Braves fill Ronald Acuña Jr.’s absence, and could be their starting left fielder when Acuna returns.
