Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar tallied an impressive six points during their 7-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday evening. Makar began the evening by tallying two points in the opening frame.

Cale Makar set an Avalanche record for most points in a game by a defenseman with six (two goals, four assists) in the win. Nathan MacKinnon had two goals and three assists. Martin Necas had a goal and an assist, and Mackenzie Blackwood made 32 saves.

Without a handful of veteran players, the San Jose Sharks were no match for the Colorado Avalanche, who scored four first-period goals and never looked back in a 7-3 win on Thursday at Ball Arena.
