USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75), the flagship of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, collided with M/V Besiktas-M on Wednesday evening near Port Said, Egypt, in the Mediterranean Sea, the Navy said Thursday.

There were no reports of injuries or flooding after the USS Harry S. Truman was involved in a collision, the Navy said.

The Navy relieved the commanding officer of the carrier Harry S. Truman due to a "loss of confidence in his ability to command," the service announced on Thursday.
