North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong was honored at the Bismarck Event Center at the Inauguration Gala. The Governor was celebrated with various speakers and a performance from the North Dakota National Guard.

It was all about welcoming in a new chapter to the state as the Governor’s Heritage Foundation held the Inaugural Ball of North Dakota’s 34th Governor Kelly Armstrong tonight. Governor Armstrong says that the event is more than just a celebration with a baseball theme.

After a month in office, Gov. Kelly Armstrong on Wednesday laid out a plan he says will address property taxes, overcrowding in prisons and infrastructure for the 2025-27 biennium. In all, Armstrong suggests a budget of roughly $19.

BISMARCK, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Gov. Kelly Armstrong presented his executive budget recommendations for the 2025-27 biennium on Wednesday, January 15, highlighting investments in property tax relief, housing and infrastructure, education opportunities for students, and other priorities.

The governor believes “homeowners will see a significant, immediate impact.” At first blush, it certainly appears so.

Governor Kelly Armstrong announced his recommendations Wednesday, after having just less than a month to review and modify Fmr. Gov. Doug Burgum’s proposals.

House Bill 1176, filed Thursday, contains the proposal introduced by Armstrong during his State of the State address. The bill would increase the primary residence tax credit and put most homeowners on a path toward zero property taxes within a decade. It also would set a 3% annual cap on local property tax budgets.
