There were 600 trucks a day entering Gaza, both humanitarian and commercial, and that was adequate to meet the basic needs in Gaza. That stopped on March 2 and since mid-May, it’s been a drip feed of humanitarian supplies, including flour, food, and other essential life-sustaining supplies.

The World Health Organization said on Wednesday it was seeing a deadly surge in malnutrition in Gaza that has led to the deaths of 21 children under five so far in 2025. Malnutrition centers are full without sufficient supplies for emergency feeding,

"In August and September, there are probably still going to be ... large numbers of deaths because children have already passed the tipping point," Mark Brauner, who volunteered in Gaza last month, told HuffPost.
