A small earthquake shook residents north of Denver early Friday morning. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a 2.9 magnitude earthquake occurred about 3 miles southwest of Dacono at 6:13 a.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries or serious damage. The USGS said the quake, which had a magnitude of 3.3, was reported at 6:52 a.m., about 15 miles east-northeast of Nellis Air Force Base. It had a depth of two miles.
