Wichita road conditions deteriorate following nearly 6 inches of snow
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Road conditions are poor in and around Wichita on Friday morning after Wichita received 5.9 inches of snow and other surrounding areas received around the same amount. The KanDrive map shows a lot of blue and purple, which indicates roads that are slightly or completely snow-packed.

Wichita road crews continue to try to clear the snow off the streets, but some snow- and ice-covered areas are taking longer than expected.
Roads southwest of Wichita becoming snowpacked
Highways west and southwest of Wichita are becoming snowpacked as winter weather moves into the state. In Barber County, emergency management reports a two-vehicle accident on K-2 near the bridge. Visibility is all reported to be less than a quarter of a mile.
