Two fired commissioners of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) are now suing the regulator and its chair, alleging that their removal is unlawful.

"We are confident that the law is on our side," co-counsel for fired FTC Commissioners Rebecca Kelly Slaughter and Alvaro Bedoya said of their lawsuit challenging President Donald Trump's firing decision as unlawful.

"In a world where any of us can be removed for any reason at any time, it doesn't matter what commissioners think," FTC commissioner Alvaro Bedoya told Gizmodo.
