Missouri lawmakers on Wednesday approved hundreds of millions of dollars of financial aid to try to persuade the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals to remain in the state and help the St. Louis area recover from a devastating tornado.

Missouri lawmakers wrapped up their summer special session with the passage of stadium incentives and tornado relief. The bills are now on the governor’s desk, and he’s expected to sign them in the coming days.
