Brazil forward Marta has extended her stay with the NWSL's Orlando Pride, putting pen to paper on a new contract that will see her stay in Florida until the end of the 2027 season.

The Orlando Pride and legendary midfielder Marta have announced a new two-year contract for the club captain through the 2026 season. Marta has been with Orlando since 2017 and led the club to its first-ever NWSL Shield and NWSL Championship in a historic season in 2024.

Orlando Pride posted on social media that Marta has an announcement on Thursday at 11 a.m. Marta is currently out of contract, and fans have been waiting to see if she will sign a new contract with Orlando Pride, retire, or decide to go somewhere else. Some fans said they thought she would retire when Orlando Pride won the NWSL Championship.
