OpenAI has told investors it will share a smaller fraction of revenue with major backer Microsoft as it moves ahead with its restructuring, The Information reported on Tuesday.

OpenAI sees itself paying a lower share of revenue to its investor and close partner Microsoft by 2030 than it currently does, per a report.

Microsoft is the biggest investor in ChatGPT-parent OpenAI, and the company has poured billions of dollars into the artificial intelligence (AI) startup. However, The Informationreported that OpenAI is seeking to cut Microsoft’s revenue share by half to 10% by 2030.
