Thousands of New Orleans demonstrators paraded from the corner of Mandeville and Decatur near the French Quarter to Washington Square Park in opposition to President Donald Trump's crackdown on immigration.
The local rally begins with a parade at the corner of Mandeville and Decatur streets and will end at Washington Square Park on Elysian Fields Avenue. Organizers say the event will include local speakers and performances by New Orleans-based bands. The protest is expected to begin at 10 a.m.
