Fire weather and burn bans have been mentioned regularly since last fall across the area, leading some to wonder what a burn ban means, and how it differs from a red flag warning. We will go over what these mean and what you should do when either is issued: Red flag warnings are issued when there is a dangerous combination of weather conditions coming together over a certain area that could lead to rapid growth and spread of a fire.
