Walker Duehr’s time in Calgary has come to an end. After the Flames put the 27-year-old winger on waivers on Tuesday, he was claimed by the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday morning. It brings an end to Duehr’s nearly four-year tenure with the organization.

Duehr, a 27-year-old Sioux Falls, South Dakota native, has no goals and one assist over 16 NHL appearances this season. He was waived Tuesday by the Flames and has averaged just under 9 minutes of ice time per game he has played.

During his time with the Stockton Heat and Calgary Wranglers in the AHL, Duehr scored 37 goals and 69 points in 127 games. He departs the Flames after four seasons and 84 games, collecting only nine goals and 19 points. Duehr is in the final season of a two-year deal he signed in April 2023, paying him $825,000 annually.
