Like many British musicians who came of age in the 1960s and ‘70s, politically charged punk band the Clash admired New Orleans rhythm and blues. The admiration runs both ways and will be on full display Saturday during the third installment of Chickie Wah Wah’s annual International Clash Day.

Approximately 2,000 law enforcement officers will be present for the Super Bowl, New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick told reporters Wednesday. No vehicle traffic will be allowed on the Bourbon Street, and the city will block intersections leading to the most popular areas, Kirkpatrick said.
