HEMPSTEAD COUNTY, Ark. – Westbound lanes are blocked on Interstate 30 in Hempstead County due to a semi-truck crash Friday morning. Officials with the Arkansas Department of Transportation reported a crash at 7:15 a.m. near Hope. Traffic officials said a tow truck is working to remove the semi-truck.

The salt that the dump truck had been hauling ended up spilling off the Eisenhower overpass onto Route 83 below, state police said.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash involving a truck, which left its trailer partially dangling from an overpass along an expressway in the western suburbs on Wednesday afternoon.

Traffic on the Eisenhower and Route 83 was snarled when a truck carrying salt crashed about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday on an overpass in the westbound lanes of I-290 in Elmhurst. No injuries were reported.

A semi-truck tipped onto its side on westbound I-290 at IL-83 in the western suburbs, spilling salt across the roadway and shutting down multiple lanes.
