An air quality alert was reported by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 9:10 a.m. in effect until 11 p.m. for Western Chester, Eastern Chester, Western Montgomery, Eastern Montgomery, Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks as well as Delaware and Philadelphia counties.

Children, older adults and those with respiratory conditions are urged to avoid avoid strenuous or long activities outdoors on Sunday due to poor air quality.

Another air quality alert is in effect for Philly and its neighboring Pennsylvania counties Sunday, and it looks like more heat, and that summer of 2025 favorite — smoke — are poised to return during the week.
