The KNMI weather bureau and motoring organisation ANWB have issued a code amber weather warning for Limburg and Noord-Brabant because of the snow, which is expected to cause hazardous travel conditions during Thursday morning’s rush hour.

Snow has fallen across large parts of Wales causing travel disruption with an amber weather warning in place. North Wales Police is advising against all but essential travel after a number of crashes on the A55 at Llanddulas, Conwy county, due to "extremely poor weather conditions".

One amber weather warning has been put in place for Wales, while another covers from the Midlands up to Manchester. Less severe yellow weather warnings are also in force for parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and elsewhere in England.

A RARE amber weather alert for snow has been issued by the Met Office as Brits are warned of travel chaos. The warning was issued from 9pm on Saturday and has now been extended to 6am on Monday

A FRESH – more severe – weather warning has been issued across the region as residents are told to expect snow, ice and ‘freezing rain’. Having issued yellow weather warnings for snow and ice yesterday, Thursday, the Met Office has now upgraded these to amber.

Yellow warnings for snow and ice remain in place after severe flooding and snow caused travel disruption and school closures across the UK. The Met Office said wintry weather is expected to bring icy roads and travel delays to much of west England,

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across parts of Devon and Cornwall. The first warning for snow and ice warning begins at 17:00 GMT and ends at 10:00 GMT on Tuesday.

The warning, which starts on Monday evening, covers all of Wales’ 22 counties except Anglesey.

More snow is heading to Oxfordshire after the Met Office issued another yellow weather warning. The county already experienced snow and freezing rain over the weekend after the Met Office had given both amber and yellow weather warnings.
