The Eaton Fire was first reported around 6:30 p.m. local time near the eastern Los Angeles suburb of Altadena, according to KTTV and CBS News. It has since set 1,000 acres ablaze and remains at 0% containment, according to Cal Fire.

Some are carrying their valuables with them, but this devastating situation has even brought several people down to San Diego. So far as of Thursday night, 13,690 acres burned in the Eaton Fire, displacing hundreds of people on the eastside.

Dozens of seniors from multiple assisted living facilities and nursing homes had to be rushed out into the streets as a fast-moving wildfire closed in on Tuesday night. The Eaton Fire started in the Angeles National Forest but fueled by high winds,
