The Indian U19 women's team was given a grand welcome in Hyderabad as they made their return after defeating South Africa in the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup final. The likes of Trisha Gongadi and Drithi Kesari expressed their joy to the reporters after the triumphant win.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Wednesday met women cricketer Gongadi Trisha and announced a cash reward of Rs 1 crore for her "brilliant" performance in the India's Under-19 ICC World Cup 2025 triumph.

Gongadi Trisha, named ‘Player of the Tournament’ at the recently concluded World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, and teammate Drithi Kesari received a warm welcome upon arrival. They were accompanied by head coach Nooshin Al Khadeer and trainer Shalini. The HCA chief honoured the players and support staff with a shawl and a bouquet.

She is joined in the team by fellow opener G Kamalini, who scored 143 tournament runs, and bowlers Aayushi Shukla and Vaishnavi Sharma. Sharma took two South Africa wickets at Bayuemas Oval to finish the tournament with 17, the most of any player, while 17-year-old Shulka was second with 14.
