The 85-year-old wife of an Orlando, Florida, pastor is in a medically induced coma after she was brutally beaten during a home invasion last week, according to police.

An Orlando pastor's wife was severely injured Friday after police said a man broke into the couple's home and launched a brutal attack.

Police say the suspect knocked on 85-year-old Lucy Pat Curl’s door Friday, claiming he was a “community service officer” and needed to check the home. When she asked for ID, he flashed his driver’s license then allegedly forced his way inside and attacked her.
