Novo Nordisk and GoodRx announced a partnership this week to sell products Ozempic and Wegovy at half their normal cost to patients who pay for the medications with cash. Starting this week, customers will be able to buy a month’s supply of Novo Nordisk’s semaglutide pen products for $499 through GoodRx.

GoodRx offers coupons for reduced prescription drug prices at retail pharmacies. The company says patients will be able to use GoodRx to self-pay for both Ozempic and Wegovy at the $499-per-month price at 70,000 U.S. retail pharmacies.

Novo Nordisk said on Monday it was offering its diabetes drug Ozempic for $499 per month to eligible cash-paying patients with type 2 diabetes in the U.S. via its own pharmacy, a tie-up with telehealth service GoodRx and other platforms.
