The Grammy Awards have long been billed as “music’s biggest night,” but the most moving 2025 Grammy event of the weekend wasn’t televised, had no live music and did not contain even a hint of glitz or glitter.

This weekend is the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, where one of hip-hop’s pioneers will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the culture.
