Both Erivo an her co-star Ariana Grande are nominated for their witchy turns in the hit musical tonight. There may be almost a full year to go before Wicked: For Good hits theaters, but star Cynthia Erivo is keeping things magical on the red carpet tonight at the Golden Globes.

Cynthia Erivo made her triumphant return tonight to the Golden Globe Awards, marking her first time at the ceremony since 2021. The actress is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role as Elphaba in Wicked.

The actress put a sexy twist on her usual Elphaba-coded red carpet style in a plunging black gown with a silver floral brocade pattern and a sculptural rectangular peplum detail. A long skirt flowed out from underneath the structured piece, and she accessorized with a giant diamond ring, matching earrings, and silver hoops.

Erivo is nominated for her performance as Elphaba in Wicked, earning a spot in the category for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy
